Burnout Dominator and the rest of the Burnout series revolutionized the way racing games are played. The whole point of Burnout Dominator is to do all the wrong things (like counter-flowing) to earn boost. Once you have the boost, then it's all up to you whether you would want to "take down" an opponent or just speed your way to the finish line. Point is if you got the boost then you got the power.
